Techland just delivered some good news: the Dying Light: The Beast release date has been pushed forward by one day. Instead of September 19, the game will now launch on September 18, 2025, as a thank-you gesture after surpassing one million pre-orders.

In a press statement, Techland said: “We’ve heard you, we’ve seen the passion, and together we’ve already reached an incredible milestone.” Franchise Director Tymon Smektała added: “With Kyle Crane making his long-awaited return, and the game already polished, we wanted to do something special for fans.”

Tomb Raider Remastered controversy erupts over AI dubbing

Actress Françoise Cadol claims Tomb Raider Remastered replaced her French Lara Croft voice with AI, sparking backlash against Aspyr Media.

For longtime players, the earlier launch makes Crane’s comeback even more exciting. The first game left his fate uncertain. But the Beast reveals he survived. He then endured 13 years of brutal experimentation under a mysterious villain known as the Baron.
This sets the stage for a revenge-driven storyline that connects back to the franchise’s roots.

The game launches globally across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. In the US, players can dive in at 9 AM PDT / 12 PM EDT on September 18, with regional unlock times shared for other territories.

Techland also teased exclusive rewards for pre-order customers, though details remain under wraps until launch week. Additionally, owners of Dying Light 2: Stay Human Ultimate Edition will receive The Beast for free, a generous move considering the project began life as DLC before evolving into a standalone game.
